Improve Your Zoom Meetings or Capture Your Classroom

Information Technology User Services has acquired a new ZOOM Q8 camera that can be checked out for by employees for short-term use. As a stand-alone camera it can be used for capturing lectures, video podcasts, presentations or interviews.  In webcam mode it can be used with Zoom video conferencing software for meetings, or online classes. Utilizing Zoom’s recording feature, meetings or classes can be made available for future viewing.

Currently, users are repurposing simple webcams for use in Zoom meetings or classrooms. With the ZOOM Q8, users will gain a high-definition video camera with high-resolution audio, making it the perfect camera choice. Its 160-degree wide-angle lens and built-in X/Y microphone ensure that you’ll always capture the complete video and audio picture. It can be used as a stand-alone video camera or in webcam mode when connected to a computer via USB cable.

Watch the brief audio video to hear and view the difference this camera can make! Quick and simple instructions are available. For more information or to request use of the camera, contact the IT Help Desk at 651-4357 or helpdesk@semo.edu.
